All Access Creative Writing Workshop

Thursdays, 7-9 pm,  (ongoing), first class is October 25, 2007

We're trying something new this fall, for our third season - the ongoing creative writing workshop. Now you don't have to wait for the next fiction or non-fiction or poetry workshop in our rotation, you can join us all year long and get feedback on your writing - ALL FORMS. Stick with one form, or mix it up! Turn in a short story one week, a poem the next, a scene from a play after that, then a blog entry, perhaps an essay the following week etc., etc., You get the picture. Here's how it works:

We will have five 8 week sessions from October 2007 - September 2008. A new round will start up in October 2008. Please do not sign up if you can't make the full 8 week commitment--this is to ensure that everyone has a complete and consistent workshop experience, both as a critiquer, and the one being critiqued.
Workshops are paid for one session at a time.

Session dates are as follows:

SESSION 1:    October 25 - December 20, 2007
SESSION 2:    January 10 - February 28, 2008
SESSION 3:    March 13 - May 1, 2008
SESSION 4:    May 15 - July 10, 2008
SESSION 5:    July 24 - September 11, 2008

      Praise For
  The Workshops

"I'm serious when I say that I'm going to sign up for the next iteration of your workshop, and demand that all of my classmates do as well...I really think you do have a gift for this thing (I've been extremely lucky that way), and want you to influence me..." (Cliff - Poetry/Visual Poetry Workshop)

"At first it was a little scary for me to bring my writing to the workshop. In the end, I felt I had accomplished something which sprung out of writing on a regular basis and sharing this with others. It blossomed into a social interaction of give-and-take that helps the soul."
(Kathy - Intro and Non-Fiction Workshops)

"I want to thank you all for a fantastic workshop experience. Each of you provided me with useful input that I have or will soon incorporate into the manuscript. I have no doubt that it will be better off for it. I don't know that there are words that can express my gratitude effectively; for now a simple THANK YOU must suffice."
(Fernando - Intro, Fiction, Playwriting, and Non-Fiction Workshops)

"I took this workshop to start to write, which is something I promised myself I would do when I was still in high school. I was so impressed by the level of talent and humanity in the room. I realized my goal and now write or edit several times a week. I also learned a lot and enjoyed every minute."
(Barbara - Intro, Fiction, and Non-Fiction Workshops)

"You are true cultural caretakers who create a bonding space and ready-made community for hermit-writers."  (Eugenie, Non-Fiction Workshop)
